Waggin'Tails Pet Rescue
A no kill shelter for pet dogs & cats
Surrendering a Pet
Sometimes surrendering a pet can be one of the hardest decisions you will ever have to make.  For what ever reason you may have for surrendering your pet ( illness, moving, owners death, etc ), we are glad you choose a No Kill Shelter like Waggin' Tails over a kill shelter.  Waggin' Tails is a nonprofit No Kill Shelter that runs entirely by the hard work and dedication of its Volunteers and by the generous contributions of our neighbors and friends.

If you have decided that you need to surrender your pet, here are some things you will need to know.  Although we would love to be able to take in all the unwanted or stray animals there are.  We are very limited to how many we can take in.  All the animals we take in stay in foster homes until they are adopted and we have a severe shortage of foster homes.

1. The easiest and the most stress free way for your pet is to keep your pet in your home until he/she is adopted.  By sending us as much information as you can about your pet (temperament, age, Vet history etc.) and a recent photo.  We will post your pet Free of charge on Petfinders.com, and handle the adoption process through our office.

2.  If you can't keep the animal in your home, we will try to do our best to find a foster home for him.  Again you must send us as much information as you can about the animal and a recent photo.
